









Straight Outta Compton won Best Picture at the 47th annual NAACP Image Awards last night, while Creed scored four major wins with Outstanding Actor to Michael B. Jordan (who also won Entertainer of the Year), Outstanding Supporting Actress to Phylicia Rashad, and Ryan Coogler’s awards for Outstanding Writing and Directing.
Empire took home the award for Outstanding Drama Series, while Black-Ish won Outstanding Comedy Series. The shows’ four leads —Taraji P. Henson and Terrence Howard, Tracee Ellis Ross and Anthony Anderson— won in their respective categories. Don Cheadle and John Ridley won Outstading Directing in a drama and comedy Series, for House of Lies and American Crime respectively.
