what's the difference between sexual arousal being a physical reaction and sexual attraction being a compulsion?
  • Sexual arousal can be equated to the need to sneeze when someone wafts black pepper powder under your nose.

Sexual attraction is when you desire someone to ground up some peppercorns and wave them in your face.

Sexual orientation refers to the type of person that you’re more compelled to request they waft pepper under your nose.

Since all three are different things, they can act independently of each other, and also in conjunction. A straight sex-repulsed man desires this one woman to waft pepper around his nose, but he’s disgusted by the need to sneeze. An ace sex-positive person never desires someone to perform the action, but likes to ask anyways because they enjoy the sneezing. A celibate allo person desires very much some pepper, but actively abstains for whatever reason.

  • I love good analogies, but this is a great one.
